[Volume 4] is terrific. As one engaged in hard research, I delight in the two sets of correspondence: Pole-Ferrone, and Nin-Swallow-Stuhlmann. To me, it is of great importance—and a fine example of cooperation and affection between people of strongly-held but opposing views. What a revelation. Truly, A Café in Space is an excellent publication, worthy of wide readership.
I want to say what a beautiful publication A Café in Space is, and how very important it is to get it out there. It’s really wonderful.
I was delighted with Volume 4—from a personal, scholarly, and literary point of view—it has a strength and reliability about Anaïs Nin that is often missing elsewhere. It serves her, her art, and her readers well.
Volume 4 is the best yet!
A Café in Space will leave you feeling nostalgic and ready to read more of Anaïs Nin’s diaries.
